Sports Coach/PE Specialist Teaching Assistant Salisbury

January to April (extension likely)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and determined Sports Coach or PE Teacher at large, dynamic secondary school located on the outskirts of Salisbury.

The secondary school in Salisbury are looking to recruit a Sports Coach/PE specialist on a full-time temporary basis starting in January to April in the first instance.

As a Sports Coach at this thriving secondary school, you will be working alongside the teachers in the school’s PE department, organising and planning sports actives and offering support to promote engagement and attainment in Physical Education.

What’s involved in the Sports Coach role?

-          Assisting with the planning and delivering of successful and engaging PE lessons / sports activities with the PE department

-          Implementing the school’s sport programme and PE curriculum effectively

-          Positively promoting Physical Education and the importance of a healthy lifestyle across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Highlights of the Sports Coach role:

-          Full-time Sports Coach (Jan 2020 to April 2020)

-          Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm, term time

-          Earning up to GBP1600 a month, paid weekly!

-          Fantastic opportunity for Sports Graduates who are looking to progress in their career or who are considering a career in secondary  teaching /PGCE focussed in PE 

Applicant skills and requirements:

-          A genuine passion and interest for sport

-          Strong behaviour and classroom management is essential

-          Able to inspire and engage pupils aged 11-16

-          Work successfully as part of a team

-          Have a degree in Sports or extensive experience in the field

The appointed Sports Coach at this secondary school located in Salisbury will join a thriving department with new, state of the art facilities and equipment to assist you in your new role! This particular secondary school in Salisbury were recently commended for their quality of teaching and level of support and so the Headteacher is looking to appoint a Sports Coach who can work in line with these standards, make a positive impact and boost attainment in the subject / department.
