Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: South East England, Berkshire, Bracknell

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £100 - £180 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the school's educational standards
  • Assess students' performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sporting activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary school level
  • Demonstrated success in improving students' physical abilities and overall health

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of sports science and physical fitness principles
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Adaptability to different teaching styles and student needs
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and motivate them to achieve their best
  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire both students and fellow staff members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in specialised sports coaching
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work within the school's timetable and academic calendar
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members for student development
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
