PE Grad - LSA/TA teacher training role

Are you a female Sports grad considering a role in teaching?


Would you like to be paid to train and guarantee yourself a spot on a schools direct/teach first/PGCE?


If you're answering yes, then Teaching Personnel would like to hear from you..... Now! I'm working with an 'good' school in Barnet looking for a Sports Grad to start ASAP.


The school is set in extensive grounds and easily accessible via tube, bus and car. It has been graded 'good with outstanding features' in last two inspections; the grad scheme was singled out for praise by Ofsted when the school was last visited. The school is mixed boys and girls and boasts a thriving 6th form which is well resourced. The behaviour policy is well established and the school have very few disciplinary issues.


The graduate scheme was established in 2012 and has so far helped over twenty teachers including 4 PE teachers become fully qualified.


You will become an integral part of the PE department and learn how plan, prepare and deliver lessons. You will also learn behaviour management techniques and how to differentiate your lessons.


In return you will expected to raise attainment through 1-2-1 and small group tuition and in class support. You will also deliver caoching sessions in your specalist sport(s)

The roles are 5 days per week, school days, so you'd typically be working 815-330ish. There will be a small amount marking and assessment involved.

Ideal candidates have the following -
A first or 2:1 in a Sports/sports science based degree
Previous tuition and/or school based experience
A 'can do' attitude and a desire to teach

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
