Pastoral Support Worker

Job description

What we will include:

  • Supporting pupils with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for children who need someone to talk to.
  • Working closely with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of pastoral care programmes.
  • Supporting attendance, well-being, and safeguarding initiatives.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.

What we are looking for: 

  • Has experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, mentoring, or care role.
  • Is empathetic, patient, and an excellent listener.
  • Understands the challenges some children face and how to offer meaningful support.
  • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is confident in promoting positive behaviour and emotional resilience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
