Part-Time Year 3 Teacher - LS16
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in LS16 who are seeking a Year 3 class teacher to work 3 days a week until the end of the academic year. If you are based in Leeds and this sounds like you then continue reading to find out more!
The school received a ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted (2017) and performance under the current head has continued to be strong, with over the national average of students at the Expected Standard (EXS) by the time they enter Year 3. Behaviour management in the school is also strong as the children are polite and well-mannered; as a result it is a very pleasant school to work in with a positive atmosphere.
The role requires experience of KS2 learning and a good knowledge of the curriculum. Classes will have varied ability levels and the candidate will be expected to achieve progress levels across the class. Experience in improving the scores of high-attaining children would be valuable as this is an area where the school are looking to push on in the future.
Some experience of working with SEN children would also be valuable, particularly with ASC children. This is because the school has above the national average of SEN children, and although there are SEN TA’s allocated, some experience of planning for and teaching ASC children would be useful.
This role is part-time with a competitive salary, with relevant PPA time allocated.
If you think you have what it takes then hit apply and we will be in touch!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
