Teacher of Geography

Maternity Cover – April 2024 start (Part time – Four days per week)

A welcoming Secondary school in the North of Sheffield is seeking to recruit an energetic, enthusiastic, and inspiring Teacher of Geography to cover a Maternity leave. The school has a team of friendly and experienced practitioners, who can provide new colleagues advice and support in a supportive and friendly environment. The geography resources are shared centrally, and all members of staff collaborate to continually evolve the curriculum.

The school is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park on the northwest side of Sheffield and has state of the art facilities. The school has a carpark and can be accessed via public transport.

The incoming teacher will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated Geography lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning ability. The successful candidate will be given full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience teaching Geography up to GCSE level alongside a teaching qualification and QTS in a Humanities subject.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
