Part-Time Primary Teacher (Job Share)

Burnley | 2 Days per Week | Starting 2nd November 2026

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our friendly Burnley primary school on a part-time basis as part of a job share arrangement, starting from 2nd November 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is looking for a better work-life balance while still making a real impact in the classroom. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT with relevant classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Teaching a well-behaved and engaged primary class as part of a job share arrangement.
  • Working 2 days per week (days to be agreed).
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Working closely with the class teacher to ensure continuity of learning and consistency for pupils.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
  • Is organised, reliable and able to work collaboratively as part of a job share partnership.
  • Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for primary education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
