A welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join the team on a maternity cover contract from January 2027.

We are looking for a teacher who can create a positive and engaging classroom environment where children feel encouraged, supported and motivated to achieve their best. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly school community that places children at the heart of everything it does.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
• Is passionate about supporting children's academic and personal development
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
• Is a positive team player with a proactive approach
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
