Part-Time Art Teacher – Infant School, Slough
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Part-Time Art Teacher to join our friendly infant school in Slough. The successful candidate will inspire children aged 4–7 to explore art through a range of materials, techniques, and imaginative activities.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that support the early years and KS1 curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence.

Prepare materials and maintain a safe, well-organised art space.

Assess and celebrate children’s work, providing feedback that supports development.

Work collaboratively with staff to support whole-school activities and displays.
Requirements
-
Experience teaching young children (school or nursery setting preferred).

A passion for art and creativity, with the ability to make lessons enjoyable and accessible.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Relevant teaching qualification is preferred but we welcome applications from skilled art practitioners with experience working with children.
Hours & Pay
-
Part-time: 2–3 days per week (days negotiable).
-
Term-time only.

Salary dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
