P.E. Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with an Alternative Provision in the NG5 area of Nottinghamshire.

The AP are currently looking for a P.E. Teacher who is available part-time and can teach the P.E. curriculum up to BTEC and Functional Skills Level. The Teacher must be available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week.

The Alternative Provision is an independent school that specialises in supporting students aged 11 to 16 years of age, who have either been excluded or are close to permanent exclusion. The provision offers an alternative approach to education, offering a variety of vocational subjects, including Mechanics, Construction, Health and Social Care and academic subjects such as, GSCE Maths, English and Citizenship and functional skills.

Due to the types of students that the provision caters for, the Ideal candidate would have the following skills:

• Experience supporting students with SEMH
• P.E. qualification or equivalent qualification/training
• Knowledge and experience of Teacher P.E. up to BTEC or Functional Skills Level
• Passionate about education and making a difference
• Greater understanding of the reasons behind Challenging Behaviour
• Experience in planning, delivering and preparation
