Outreach Worker

Teaching Personnel work closely with a school based in the Preston area who are seeking an Outreach Worker to provide 1:1 support for pupils in school. We are looking for a candidate who comes from a background in youth work or education ideally and a candidate who has strong behaviour management skills, confidence and empathy. The role is full time and school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. 

The school is smaller than average and caters specifically for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education; the school are hoping to appoint an outreach worker to build rapport and relationships with pupils who struggle to engage in education. Some of the pupils in this school will display challegning behaviours so it is imperative that the candidate applying will have strong classroom management skills. 

The candidate will be seeking a long term, full time role and be able to work as part of a team. 

The candidate will benefit from: 

- Negotiable pay rates GBP65 - 80 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
