Teaching Personnel is looking for an outreach learning mentor to put forward for a full time, long term role, through the agency.

**This is a priority role to fill and begin ASAP**

**Experience of teaching in a school or college setting is essential; A recognized teaching qualification and DFEs recognition is highly desirable; Experience of teaching in an alternative provision or virtual school is desirable.**

The responsibilities include working under the direction of the Virtual School Head Teacher, to support and develop the aspirations and achievement of Looked After Children. You will work with other professionals including AHTs, parents, carers, social workers and other agencies and services. You will implement ePEPs, monitor and review progress, establish alternative strategies to fixed term and permanent exclusions for Looked After Children.

The professional job content details are as follows:

1. To provide short term, time bonded educational interventions, to support Looked After Children.

2. To take a lead role in the Transition programme from KS2-KS3, KS3-KS4 and KS4-KS5 for the Virtual School.

3. To work alongside AHT’s to provide interventions to improve attendance across the Virtual School

4. To be involved in training provided by the Virtual School.

5. To keep up to date with national developments in teaching and learning.

6. To be involved in the performance management, Virtual School and local authority meetings and appraisal schemes in operation within the local authority.

As this is an outreach role, you will be working in different schools based in both Windsor AND Maidenhead on a regular basis, so access to a car is essential as you will be travelling between schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
