Location: Tiverton, Devon
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Job Description:
Teaching Personnel’s partner school in Tiverton is seeking a 1:1 Outdoor SEN Learning Support Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outdoor learning environment. The successful candidate will assist in delivering nature-based education to help students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN during outdoor learning sessions

  • Assist in planning and adapting activities to meet individual needs

  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential)

  • Understanding of diverse learning needs and adaptive support methods

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for outdoor education and inclusion

  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
