Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a SEMH provision in Croydon that are currently looking for passionate and motivated staff to join their experienced team. The school cater for primary and secondary pupils that have not settled in well a mainstream environment, therefore many of the pupils have challenging behaviours and some may also have other needs including:

  • Autism (ASC/ASD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Hours: 8:20am to 4pm 
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Contract: Temp-Perm (after 16 weeks)
  • Pay: Dependent on experience 

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:

  • Psyschology
  • Youth/Community work experience
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Sports coaching
  • Team Teach
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Challenging behaviour within family
  • Mentoring
  • Teaching/Learning support Assistance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
