Room Leader – Early Years Setting
Location: Atherton, M46
Salary: £89.44 - £100 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Opportunities
A well-established nursery in the Atherton (M46) area is looking for an enthusiastic Room Leader to take on a key role within their early years team with immediate availability. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a leadership role, shaping the learning environment and supporting both children and staff to thrive.
The nursery prides itself on providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting where children are inspired to learn through play, curiosity, and exploration in line with the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day running of a designated room, ensuring high-quality care and education.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities that support children’s development across all areas of learning.
- Supervise and mentor practitioners, offering guidance and support to maintain best practice.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support each child’s progress.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and EYFS statutory requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, proactive, and positive approach to working with children and staff.
