Nursery Practitioner – Level 3
WN4 Area (Wigan)
Full-time / Ongoing Opportunity / Potential for permanent role
We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to support a welcoming and well-established Early Years setting in the WN4 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting children in their early development.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years provision for children aged 0–3, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and supervising children during play and learning activities
- Acting as a key person, building positive relationships with children and parents
- Creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment
- Monitoring children’s development and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting children with personal care and daily routines where required
- Working closely with the nursery SENCo where additional support is needed
- Promoting inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing at all times
- Working collaboratively with the nursery team and external professionals
Requirements
- Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
- Good understanding of EYFS and child development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
