Nursery Practitioner

-          Hours: Full Time, 08:45 - 15:15, Monday to Friday

-          Start Date: As soon as possible!

-          Rate of Pay: £12.84 - £13.00 per hour, depending on the level of prior experience

-          Contract: Temporary start, with the offer of a permanent contract starting in January

A Nursery in Pembrokeshire are currently looking to hire a quality nursery practitioner to work in their Flying Start program, on a full-time basis.

As part of the program, you will be working with children under the age of 4, from disadvantaged backgrounds. At such a young age, your input will be invaluable in the development of this child’s life.

Candidates who will be suitable for the role will have:

-          Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

-          Prior Experience working in a school or nursery setting

-          Prior Experience working with Additional Learning Needs 

-          CACHE Extended Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

-          EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 National Certificate/Diploma Children’s Care, Learning and Development

-          Any other qualification with Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS)

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

-          Working with pupils that have been diagnosed with a form of additional learning needs 

-          Being an integral part of the core years of a child’s life, including their learning, development, and core social skills

-          ‘Learning through play’ – The essential foundation of the nursery – you will be participating in several fun outdoor and indoor activities.

-          Promoting positive attributes and lessons for the children to follow your example.

-          Being involved in the creation of lesson plans and activities

-          Making sure you follow the safeguarding protocols.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
