Nursery Nurse Position – Wavertree

A well-established and highly regarded nursery in Wavertree is seeking to appoint a Nursery Nurse from April 2026. The nursery provides exceptional early years education and care for children aged 1 to 4, offering a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment designed to support each child’s growth and development.
Role Overview
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play an essential role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging setting for the children. Working closely with our dedicated team, you will support learning, encourage social interaction, and promote the overall well-being of each child. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to child development will help ensure a positive experience for both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, social, and cognitive development.
- Provide personalised care to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages positive relationships between children, staff, and parents.
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s behaviour, progress, and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised classroom in line with health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and implement curriculum plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s activities, progress, and any concerns.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience within a nursery or early years education setting.
- Sound understanding of early childhood development and best practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing nature, with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Basic first aid and safeguarding training (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
