Nursery Nurse Required - Primary School in Willesden

About the School

This is a lovely two-form entry Primary School located in Willesden, a short walking distance away from Willesden Green underground station. This is a multi-cultural school where the children are constantly challenged to attain higher standards. There are over 41 languages and 80% of children have English as an Additional Language. The pupils are given the opportunity to develop their speaking and listening skills by taking part in the school radio station. There is a positive atmosphere of mutual respect and trust which creates a safe environment where pupils feel like valued individuals.

The School has a separate Nursery site and they are seeking a caring, personable Nursery Nurse to join their team and hit the ground running after October half-term.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse you will be required to:

*Plan and supervise activities like arts and crafts, music and cooking

*Help children to learn numeracy skills through activities like counting games

*Read stories and provide activities to develop the children's language skills

*Observe children and make notes for use in reports

*Make sure the children are safe and well at all times (safeguarding)

*Provide personal care, when necessary

The ideal candidate:

*Cache Level 3/NVQ in Childcare Level 3

*Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

*Good command of the English Language

*Have a valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
