Teaching Assistant wanted in Penzance to work alongside a teacher in providing an excellent level of encouragement for the new intake of young minds.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  1. Assist small groups of children with activities inside and outside of the classroom.
  2. Work closely 1:1 with children with additional needs.
  3. Supporting children in their activities that help with educational and personal development. 
  4. Working alongside the Teacher to help the children at lunch time as well as learning time.

Qualifications/Experience:

  1. GCSE in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
  2. A level 2 childcare related qualification
  3. At least 3 months previous experience Nursery Assistant
  4. Experience working with children in a relevant environment such as;
  • Sports Coach
  • Youth Worker
  • Lunchtime Assistant

Skills:

  1. Enthusiasm
  2. Passion for early child development
  3. Creativity
  4. Encouraging attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
