Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and nurturing nursery setting in Lytham St Annes to recruit a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner. The successful candidate will work with children aged 0-5 years, helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children's development through play-based learning, contribute to a positive nursery environment, and help deliver high-quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years.
- Planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate activities.
- Promoting children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare procedures are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) - this is essential.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- Is warm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young children.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
Essential Qualification Requirement
A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare is essential for this role. The nursery is seeking a practitioner who can confidently support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years while helping to deliver high-quality care and education in accordance with the EYFS framework. This role is not suitable for applicants who do not hold a relevant Early Years qualification.
