Nursery Nurse Role – Wavertree (L15)

Position: Nursery Nurse

A well-established and highly regarded nursery in Wavertree is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Nurse from September 2026. The setting provides excellent early years education and care for children aged 1 to 4 years. With a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment, the nursery is committed to supporting each child’s development and helping them reach their full potential.
Role Overview
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play an integral part in creating a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for the children. Working closely with a supportive and experienced team, you will help to promote learning, encourage social development and ensure the overall well-being of every child in your care.
Your enthusiasm, creativity and passion for early years development will be essential in delivering a positive experience for both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, social and cognitive development
- Provide individualised care to meet the unique needs of each child
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters positive relationships between children, staff and parents
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress, behaviour and development
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised learning environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement the early years curriculum
- Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s day-to-day activities, progress and any concerns
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or an equivalent qualification)
- Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting
- Good understanding of early childhood development and best practice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach with a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic first aid and safeguarding training (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
