Are you an Early Years practitioner looking for a new role in January 2026? If so then we are currently recruiting for a full time Teaching Assistant / Nursery Nurse to work in a Nursery within a Primary School near Pontprennau.

This school is a community centered school catering just over 320 pupils in the east of Cardiff. Nearly 100 of these attend the nursery on a part-time basis. The school opened in September 2015 and is intended to grow year-on-year to provide eventually for pupils of the full primary age range. The average of pupils eligible for free school meals over the last three years is around 9%, and this is below the national average of 18%. The school identifies 18% of pupils as having additional learning needs and around 23% of pupils have English as an additional language. It’s a very diverse and welcoming school to be in, for pupils and staff alike.

The school are looking for someone with Early Years experience – whether you are a qualified Nursery Nurse, or a Teaching Assistant that has worked in Early Years or Nursery settings before, then they would be definitely keen to see you. TA’s who do well here are those that are proactive, take an active role in learning through play, and who genuinely see’s working with Nursery aged children fun and exciting.
A positive attitude, an open-minded approach, and the ability to create a fun and engaging environment are key qualities this school look for. As a large and collaborative setting, they particularly value team players with strong communication skills, ensuring effective coordination across classes and departments to deliver the very best learning experience for every child.
