Nursery Assistant – Nurture. Support. Inspire.
Location: Newport (NP20)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, Term Time)

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a supportive early years setting in the NP20 area of Newport this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in young children’s lives and start (or grow) your career in education.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the day-to-day care, learning, and development of children
- Assisting with fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- A kind, patient, and motivated individual with a genuine passion for early years education
- Experience in a nursery or childcare setting (desirable, but not essential)
- Childcare qualifications or training (preferred)
- A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- EWC registration (or willingness to register)
- The legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
