Nursery Teaching Assistant – Bury

Contract: Full‑time, Long‑term or Permanent
We are pleased to be working with a wonderful, Ofsted OUTSTANDING nursery in Bury who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their friendly, supportive team. This is a genuinely lovely setting with exceptional facilities, beautiful learning spaces and a nurturing atmosphere.
About the Role
As a Nursery TA, you will:
- Support the delivery of fun, engaging and age‑appropriate activities following the EYFS.
- Help create a warm, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0–5.
- Work closely with practitioners to promote children’s personal, social and emotional development.
- Assist with daily routines, play‑based learning, supervision and general care.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
SEN experience is a bonus but not required. The nursery offers excellent support and training for enthusiastic candidates who are eager to learn.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, but strong experience will also be considered.
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Someone proactive, reliable and confident in a childcare environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
