WHAT: Teaching Assistant
WHERE: Secondary school in Newport
WHEN: Immediate start - going into September 2019
The head teacher of a secondary school in Newport is looking to recruit a teaching assistant who can work full time or day to day. The hours are flexible to suit your needs. Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential as we will consider any experience working with children, in care work or personal experience with SEN.
The job as a teaching assistant consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. These children require extra care and attention within the classroom which you would be providing. You will build a rapport with the child in order to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning.
Your personality and attitude is the main factor when choosing the correct candidate for the position. A kind, calming and reliable person is required in order to be empathetic and offer stability to the children. A minimum of core GCSE's is required.
The pay is £285 to £300 per week and there is potential for a permanent position.
Interviews will be held in the next few weeks.
If you meet the above criteria then please send through your CV or call Emily on 02920 660276.
