A specialised school in Wheatley are currently looking for a full time teacher. The school caters for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and Autism. Pupils are aged between 2 and 19, with a Nursery, Primary and Secondary department.
Many of the pupils at the school will be working across the P levels or equivalent of National Curriculum levels 1-2, so the post would suit either an experienced SEN teacher, or a general primary teacher with SEN experience.
The school offers small classes, typically less than 10 pupils per class, working within large teams of support staff and additional healthcare professionals. The school are looking for someone who will have a flexible approach and be able to adapt in different circumstances including the possibility of moving across teams or school sites.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience teaching pupils with SEN whether in a specialised setting or a mainstream school
Possess full UK QTS or who is a newly qualified teacher
Commit to helping each child to reach their individual potential
Be able to support pupils in developing practical and social skills
Have a positive outlook and share an enthusiasm for the job
With Teaching Personnel the earning potential could be between £575-£640 a week.
