Teaching Personnel are working with our partner school in Farnborough to recruit a teacher of Music to join their successful department for the rest of the academic year to start either immediately or in January. This position is a a full time position paid to or slightly above scale.
The school itself is a well liked and respected school within Farnborough and under new leadership has been going from strength to strength. Due to this they have recently expanded and have been consistently oversubscribed. The school are able to offer brilliant CPD opportunities both internally and externally and have an excellent NQT Mentor experience. Teaching Personnel work extremely closely with this school in order to ensure a high calibre of staff for both longer and short term contracts as well as permanent staff.
The music department has performed above the national average and continues to improve with another increase in GCSE outcomes in 2019. This is followed across the school with the percentage of students achieving passes in both English and maths at 56%, but also in a five fold increase in the number of students gaining the highest grade 9s - a strategic priority for the school. Due to these increases the school is looking to recruit a high quality teacher of music to join them and support them through this year.
The school enrol pupils in KS3-4 and have slightly longer than usual lessons allowing you to get as much out of each class as possible! The SLT are supportive and considerate and are extremely keen to see all pupils and staff excel. On site the school have a behavioural provision which is well staffed with experienced and qualified teachers and support staff resulting in a fast response to any behavioural issues inside class and in the wider school.
