Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with the Headteacher at a large mixed comprehensive secondary to recruit a full-time Music teacher starting from January 2020 or earlier.

The school wishes to employ a passionate practitioner, with previous experience delivering BTEC Music as well as Music across KS3 and 4. If you are seeking an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful Music department then please see the details below for further information.

-          Full-time Music teacher required from January 2020 or earlier.

-          Must hold QTS alongside relevant experience delivering the BTEC Music syllabus and Music across KS3/4.

-          Applications are urged from both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers as full support will be provided for the successful post-holder.

-          Excellent location, easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road).

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

The school was established in the early 2000's and has since remained a beacon within the local community, for parents and pupils alike. The school serves the local catchment area of Worsley, Walkden and Farnworth. Currently there is just over 1000 pupils on roll at school, aged 11- 16.

The Music department has seen a complete refurbishment across the department, with access to a range of instruments, state of the art resources, fully equipped Music studio, all within resources modern facilities. As the incoming Music teacher your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

-          Deliver dynamic pupil centred teaching and learning in line with national curriculum for Music.

-          Plan, prepare and assess class work incorporating practical activities differentiated to learning needs of all pupils.

-          Support pupils across year 10 and 11 with the BTEC syllabus within Music including practical and theoretical work.

-          Develop pupil's knowledge of composing, performing and understanding Music through inventive lessons.

Salford is easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Wigan and Trafford. There is also numerous public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
