Music Teacher – Northampton (Full Time)
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (£31,650 - £49,084 FTE per annum)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

This large comprehensive school, with over 1,400 students, has a thriving music department described by Ofsted as "exceptional" and featured in the National Plan for Music Education. Music is taught across all key stages and supported by an extensive co-curricular programme including multiple choirs, instrumental ensembles, and a dynamic pop/rock scene. The school is proud to be a Lead School for Music in the region and offers rich opportunities through a trust-wide music programme, including collaborations with professional ensembles and performances in prestigious venues.

The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons from KS3 through to KS5, setting high expectations and engaging all learners. You will also contribute to the continued development of the department and support a wide range of co-curricular music activities. This role is ideal for a teacher who is creative, collaborative, and passionate about making music accessible to all students.

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a relevant music degree

  • A strong classroom practitioner with experience teaching across key stages

  • Someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is committed to professional growth
