Music Programme Manager
Full Time | Permanent | £28,624 per annum
Location: Northampton-based with regional travel | Closing Date: Sunday 29 June 2025

A leading education trust is seeking a Music Programme Manager to coordinate and develop an ambitious and inspiring music programme across 36 state schools in the East Midlands, London, Yorkshire, and the Humber.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong communication skills and a passion for music education. You’ll work closely with a dedicated music team and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver curricular and co-curricular music opportunities for over 14,500 students annually.

Key Details:

  • Full-time, year-round role (37 hours/week)

  • Office base in Northampton, with travel required

  • Flexible working arrangements considered

  • Attendance at approx. 15 evening/weekend events per year

Key Responsibilities

Programme Administration:

  • Manage diaries, meetings, travel, and accommodation for the music team

  • Handle general admin: minutes, invoices, expenses, and supplier coordination

  • Maintain databases, Teams groups, and resource distribution

  • Support GDPR compliance and programme evaluation

  • Assist with communications, including social media and presentations

  • Provide direct admin support to the Executive Director of Music

Events & Trips:

  • Coordinate planning and logistics for music events, festivals, and performances

  • Act as administrator or trip leader for concerts, residentials, and special projects

  • Manage event logistics: bookings, equipment, transport, catering, and licensing

  • Lead small ops teams at events and support marketing and evaluation content (photos, quotes, etc.)


Key Relationships

  • Internal: Executive Director of Music, Primary & Secondary Music Leads, Heads of Schools, Students, Parents

  • External: Communications team, local musicians, Music Hubs, and national partners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
