Experience SEN teacher required for KS1

Incredibly rewarding role for a teacher in an Ofsted graded 'outstanding' SEN school

• Two sites catering for primary and secondary age students

• Primary teacher required for key stage 1

• Full time position available

A growing SEN school in Twickenham are looking for a full time teacher to work in key stage 1. The school supports children from KS1 to Post-16 with SEN such as PMLD, MLD, SLD and Autism. The school is located across two sites, a mainstream primary and secondary setting. Rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted, the school prides itself on the achievements of their children with 'individuals achieving higher in attainment than peers on the same curriculum'.

About the role:

• Teach to a tailored curriculum

• Direct support staff to help 1:1 pupils

• Ensure reasonable behaviour and safe conduct of pupils

• Aid the social development of pupils

• Collaborate with senior management to ensure the school continues moving forward

Ideal candidate:

• Experience teaching children with PMLD, MLD, SLD and Autism is essential

• Experience directing support staff when and where to target individual students is desirable

• Knowledge or training on safeguarding for children is ideal

• PECS, Makaton, Moving and Handling training is highly beneficial

• Behaviour management experience

• Need to be confident & passionate about working with children
