Job role: MFL Teacher

Contract: Mon-Fri (8:30am-15:30pm)

Location: Huddersfield (HD4)

Start date: 8th April 2024

A school in Huddersfield are looking for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher- French and/or Spanish to Teach until the end of the Academic year with the potential to roll over to September.

Main Duties include:

  • Identify clear learning objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed
  • Setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
  • Setting appropriate and demanding expectations
  • Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment
  • Be aware of and make provision for students who have particular individual needs
  • Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
  • Making effective use of assessment
  • Following the school behaviour policy and procedures
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support
  • Ensure homework is set according to School policy and recorded on Show My Homework
  • Liaise with the Subject Leader to ensure the implementation of department policy
  • Assist with writing medium term plans and developing resources in Department

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Willing to travel
  • Hold a QTS or working towards one in the relevant subject
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Minimum of six months UK residency
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
  • Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
