We are working with a school for pupils with Social-Emotional Mental health needs to recruit a Mental Health Support Worker

The school supports pupils who have not been able to adjust to traditional school. The needs range but are often inclusive of challenging behaviour and moderate learning difficulties.

The successful Mental Health Support Worker would be responsible for:

  • Supporting the young people around the school including at break and lunch
  • Provide intervention for those who are presenting as challenging.
  • Provide an alternative environment for young people in crisis.

The qualities of the successful Mental Health Support Worker would be:

  • Experience of working with those with behavioural needs
  • Resilience and ability to rise to a challenge.
  • A firm but fair approach

The school are eager to meet potential Mental Health Support Worker as soon to support a group of newer pupils who have recently joined the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
