Mental Health Specialist Teaching Assistant - York

The Job Role:

• Supporting pupils aged 4-16 with additional needs, such as social, emotional and mental health needs
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to learners, helping to promote positive behaviours
• Encouraging lesson participation and whole School community participation
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons; in-line with the National Curriculum at Primary or GCSE levels
• Managing behaviours in-line with the School's positive behaviour reward system

• Ensures every child has an individual learning planning
