£25 - 30 per hour

Job description

Wanted: Maths Tutors With a Passion for Pi and a Flair for Formulas (Hull)

Algebra. Simultaneous equations. Pythagoras. For some students, these words spark joy. For others… mild panic. That’s where you come in.

At TP Tutors, we believe that Mathematics doesn’t have to be scary—it can be exciting, engaging, and even (dare we say it?) fun. We’re currently looking for talented and enthusiastic Maths tutors in Hull who can help demystify the subject and bring numbers to life for students of all ages and abilities.

If you’ve got a knack for making sense of sums and a personality that can brighten up even the dullest worksheet, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

  • £25–£30 per hour – because your time and expertise are valuable.

  • A flexible schedule tailored to your availability and preferences.

  • A chance to work in a range of settings throughout Hull—from local libraries to pupils’ homes (a UK driving licence is desirable for this reason).

  • Ongoing support and opportunities for professional growth.

What we’re looking for:

  • A confident communicator with a solid grasp of the English language.

  • Someone who’s enthusiastic, self-motivated, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed.

  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service—or willingness to obtain one (we’ll guide you through it if needed).

  • Experience working with children and young people, including those with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs.

  • Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, as is up-to-date safeguarding knowledge.

  • A strong command of the Maths curriculum.

  • Two recent professional references covering the last 24 months of employment (from a 10-year work history).

Why TP Tutors?

  • We’re part of Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency with over 20 years of experience.

  • Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella companies here.

  • Access to high-quality CPD including Team Teach, NASEN, and Autism Awareness.

  • Your very own specialist consultant, dedicated to helping you succeed.

  • Flexible full-time or part-time work that fits around your life.

  • A generous Refer a Friend scheme—spread the word and get rewarded.

Whether you're a seasoned educator or a Maths enthusiast with a talent for teaching, TP Tutors offers you the opportunity to make a real difference—right here in Hull, one equation at a time.
