  • A full time role is available in a Secondary School delivering numeracy lessons to targeted pupils

Do you have a strong passion for Mathematics and are you looking for an exciting opportunity within a school environment?

A large secondary school in the Monmouthshire area are looking to temporarily hire a Maths teaching assistant in September 2017. This position is to enable all students and improve their ability within Maths, you will be working full time within a large department who will offer great support and guidance.

- Maths teaching assistant , full time from September 2017

- Graduates and aspiring teachers welcome to apply

- Experience supporting children with Maths ideally required

- Temporary post initially with possibility for being the full year

- Initial supply appointment, pay rate £55-£65 per day

As a Maths teaching assistant, you will be working closely with other members of the Maths faculty and supporting children in small groups and on an individual basis. Previous classroom based or tutoring experience is ideal for the school, as they will need you to have a quick impact on children’s confidence with Maths and ability to better understand their work and reach their potential. You will assist the planning and delivery of lessons, leading groups within Maths and offering focused intervention for selected children in Year 7 and 8 who may be behind their expected attainment levels.
