Maths teacher, Tameside Secondary School, September start

Our client school in Tameside require a Maths teacher to commence a full time post in September 2018. The school are open to applications from Maths teachers who are newly qualified having recently completed a Maths PGCE or an experienced Maths practitioner with a proven track record looking for a new and exciting Maths position.

This large academy school have a vibrant Maths department headed by and experienced Head of Mathematics. This is a full timetable consisting of KS3 and KS4 year groups with an option to deliver KS5 Mathematics in the schools expanding sixth form.

The academy has a diverse population with an above average number of students eligible for free school meals and who use English as an additional language. The school has state of the art facilities and modern teaching aids proving the successful Maths teacher with an excellent platform to raise student attainment and ensure progress targets are achieved.

Located in the OL6 post code of Tameside the school can be located via regular public tram and bus routes and for those who don't drive the school can be found easily from Oldham, East Manchester or Tameside.

Currently the school achieves below their Progress 8 targets so there will be an expectation for the successful Mathematician to come in and hit there ground running with ongoing support form the Head of Maths and strong senior leadership team.

If you are a Maths teacher interested in this position you will need to have QTS in the UK, suitable school based references and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate. The school are looking to hold interviews after May half term so you must attend this to be considered.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
