Job description

Our partner secondary school based in Tameside are looking for a Maths teacher to commence a full time Maths teaching positon due to an upcoming vacancy within the Maths department from April 2019. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths teacher who has recently qualified or an experienced Maths practitioner looking for their next challenge.

The secondary school has modern state of the art facilities and teaching aids enabling the appointed Maths teacher to make a significant impact on the students taught with Progress 8 results currently below national and borough averages. Initially a temporary position for 1 term from April to July 2019 the school are looking to appoint for September so there is a possibility to become a permanent member of staff.

The school has high levels of students eligible for free school meals at 48% and those who use English as an additional language at 37%. This large Secondary school has around 1300 students on roll across years 7-13, with the timetable consisting of KS3 and KS4 Mathematics. Located in the OL6 post code of Tameside the schools has public transport links via tram and bus and is situated just off the M60/A627 for those with their own transport.
