Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST7) who are looking for a Maths Teacher to start immediately until February half-term, with the potential to be extended until the end of the year.

This is a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their career within a mainstream secondary school, or an experienced Teacher looking for a change.

About the role:

  • Start-date: Immediate upon completing registration with TP
  • Full-time, long-term role

As a Maths Teacher, you will cover both KS3 and GCSE curriculum, planning and delivering engaging lessons which foster a love for the subject. You will assess students both formally and informally and provide both live and written feedback when necessary. Additionally, you will work with support staff to identify students who require additional support and create and implement individualised learning plans for them. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and collaborate well with the rest of the department to ensure the curriculum remains up to date and whilst contributing to the wider school community.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with strong background in Maths
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum (trainee teacher placements included)
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about the subject and able to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent knowledge of curriculum and current behavioural management techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
