Maths Teacher (QTS Essential) – Secondary Specialist Setting (ASC)
Location: Village near Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week

We are looking for a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS essential) to join a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The Opportunity
As our Maths Teacher, you will teach secondary-aged students up to GCSE level, delivering engaging and accessible lessons that enable students to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their academic goals.
You will work as part of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team, with the time and flexibility to adapt teaching approaches and create positive learning experiences for every student.
What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons up to GCSE level

Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning, communication, and sensory needs

Monitor progress and support students to achieve their full potential

Build positive and consistent relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Promote confidence, resilience, independence, and emotional wellbeing

Contribute to a nurturing and ambitious school community
What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications without QTS cannot be considered
-
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
-
Confidence delivering GCSE Maths
-
Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
-
A patient, adaptable, and student-centred approach
Desirable
-
Experience within specialist education, SEND, or ASC provision
-
Knowledge of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies
-
Experience supporting students with social communication differences
