Teacher of Mathematics – Glastonbury, Somerset

Teaching Personnel have an exclusive opportunity for a Teacher of Mathematics for a full-time position at an SEN school in Glastonbury.
The School is part of the continuum of provision for vulnerable children and young people in this area. It is an alternative to mainstream school and they work together alongside their partner schools to build Learning Plans for children and young people who may be struggling to cope in their current placement. This position is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can support the Maths department to achieve beyond expectations in this core subject.
This role will involve working with children across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the ability to be able to deal with challenging behaviour and children with SEMH. The position will involve planning and marking responsibilities and liaising with parents on students progress.
To be considered for this role, you must;
- Have planning and marking experience
- Be willing to partake in CPD courses (if required)
- Provide support to students for progression
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Be passionate and innovative in your learning approach
- Be calm, caring and conscientious

To be considered for this role, you will be required to:
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to provide two references from the last 6 years.
