Maths Teacher

Maths Teacher with strong behaviour management skills required for Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester Centre.

A pupil referral unit catering to students from upper KS2 level to KS4 requires a Maths Teacher to teach up to GCSE level. Students have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream school and have associated social, emotional and mental health difficulties, causing challenging behaviours and lack of engagement.

As a Maths Teacher, you'll teach the National Curriculum however will need to adapt lesson plans and teaching approach to suit the needs of students who find it hard to focus. Many students will be working at a level lower than their age group.
You must be skilled at behaviour management and have a genuine passion for supporting these students personal and educational needs. 

Applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status and be able to demonstrate and have at least 2 years of Teaching experience behind them.

The role is a temporary contract until the end of the year, at which point you will be considered for permanency dependant on overall performance and feedback.
