Maths Teacher

Trafford secondary school seeking Maths Teacher.

A secondary school in the Trafford area are seeking to hire a Maths teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2021.

The successful candidate will work to a timetable teaching maths to classes in years 7-11, introducing younger students to new concepts whilst simultaneously guiding GCSE students to achieve their academic potential. The new maths teacher will be expected to carry out full departmental responsibilities as part of the role such as lesson planning, marking, engaging fully in staff meetings and liaising with parents/ carers/ guardians.

Candidate requirements for this position:

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (QTS)
  • Experience teaching maths up to KS4/ GCSE level in UK secondary schools
  • Experience carrying out full departmental responsibilities as part of a teaching role
  • School based references with no safeguarding or disciplinary concerns
  • Child workforce DBS certificate on the update service/ eligibility to apply

The school itself is a modern and high achieving secondary school in central Tameside looking to improve upon recent Ofsted inspections by increasing attainment in key areas, in particular core subjects. The new maths teacher will join a strong maths department made up of experienced specialists dedicated to getting the best out of each and every student.
