Maths Teacher - Required Immediately

A client secondary school of Teaching Personnel based in the Orrell area of Wigan currently wishes to recruit a Maths Teacher as a matter of urgency ahead of the spring term in 2019.

This is a full-time position where the school are offering employment for the remainder of the academic year with the promise of further employment if successful over the initial temporary period.

  • Full-time Maths Teaching position
  • Leading a complete timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE Maths
  • Required to start immediately or at the earliest convenience
  • Pay for this role is in line with MPS/UPS standards - ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406
  • Opportunity to earn a permanent contract extension on completion of a successful first term

This Maths Teaching position is open within a well established Secondary school based in the Orrell area of Wigan. The school are in need of an energetic and forward thinking Maths teacher who is able to hit the ground running, ensuring that all of their students have the opportunity to break the boundaries of what they can achieve at GCSE level.

The incoming teacher will be joining a team of Maths teachers that have shown year on year improvements in their results from their GCSE Maths examinations.

  • The school that wish to recruit for this role currently caters for just over 950 pupils on roll
  • The vast majority of pupils come from a white British background.
  • It is located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Golborne and Tyldesley via the M6 motorway.
  • There are also direct transport links from Wigan town centre.
