Full-time Maths teacher required for an open vacancy within a large secondary school in Bolton from September 2019.

- Full-time Maths teaching position, September 2019 start (KS3 & KS4)
- Open vacancy - resulting in a permanent position from December 2019.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS - dependant on previous teaching experience (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).
- Must hold QTS - Delivering Maths across the full age and ability range in secondary.
- Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school based in Bolton.
Our client secondary school wish to appoint a full-time Maths teacher ahead of the new academic year in September 2019 to fill an open gap that has arisen due to a permanent member of staff receiving an internal promotion. The successful Maths teacher will be employed initially through Teaching Personnel for one term, until December 2019, however if successful during the initial period, there will be an opportunity to be employed by the school on a permanent basis in the New Year.
As a Maths teacher within our client school, you will be teaching the full Maths curriculum to students aged 11-16 ranging in ability up to GCSE level. You will be responsible for a full teaching timetable which will require you to prepare and plan your own lessons as well as complete marking responsibilities.
The school wish to appoint a forward thinking Maths teacher that is able to stretch the learning capabilities of students no matter what their ability, pushing them to achieve their very best at GCSE level. It is key that the incoming Maths teacher is enthusiastic, and able to help with the schools aim to become an 'outstanding' learning environment.
In the most recent Ofsted report, it was highlighted that the teachers used praise and humour in an effective way and that it helped to keep students engaged. With this in mind, the school wish to appoint a Maths teacher with a similar style of teaching.
Our client secondary school is a smaller than the average-sized secondary school with around 850 pupils on roll. The school is located just a few miles from Bolton train station and can be accessed via the M60 and M61 which makes for good access from surrounding areas Bury, Salford, Manchester and Wigan.
