The school are welcome to NQT applicants as well as experienced teachers who are looking to pursue a career in a secondary school that is currently still on its journey to improve and can make a difference to young peoples lives.
Following an OFSTED inspection in 2016 that commented on how the actions of the core subject departments were not being recognised by students. Swift impact followed with the Ofsted monitoring inspection in September 2017 noted that GCSE English and Mathematics outcomes in summer 2017 were much better than the outcomes seen in previous years." This was due to clear fast acting decisions to improve and implement a better system for students to follow and learn from.
Last years results have shown a dramatic improvement and can be seen below;
65% GCSE 9-4 grades compared to 48% A*-C in 2016; 19% GCSE 9-7 grades compared to 10% A*-A in 2016: 73% A*-B for A level Maths and a further 3 A* grades at A Level and 1 A at AS Level for our 4 Further Maths students!

- Enthusiastic and passionate with drive and determination to make a difference
- A reflective classroom practitioner committed to the craft of successful mathematics teaching
- Able to demonstrate excellent and sustained student progress
- Creative, innovative and able to ensure that all students can access a deeper understanding of mathematics
- A dedicated team player who models expectations and promotes positive behaviour
- Committed to all students achieving their full potential and the learning vision of the school
