Maths Teacher

A Waterlooville school with an excellent reputation locally for a supportive environment and tradtional teachers is looking for a Teacher of Maths to join their department due to the internal promotion of a longstanding member of staff.

The successful Teacher will have experience of teaching Maths to  KS3 & 4. In addition, you are enthusiastic, engaging and inspiring, and will:

- Plan and prepare fun learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of each child;

- Assess individual learning needs and work on a group and class basis;

- Maintain positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies;

- Monitor pupils' work and set targets for progress, through effective and thorough marking;

- Assess and record pupils' progress systematically and keep records to check work is understood and completed, monitor strengths and weaknesses, inform planning and recognise the level at which the pupil is achieving;

- Be committed to ensuring pupils make good sustained progress and inspire pupils to reach their full potential through engaging and stimulating teaching.

The School has just short of 1000 pupils on roll in a purpose built site to accommodate a larger intake for the future. In its most recent Ofsted report, the school were deemed ‘good’ with ‘outstanding’ aspects including the personable approach of SLT towards its teachers and overall staff knowledge of their pupils.  

To apply for this role you must be a qualified teacher with UK teaching experience. The school are willing to consider both NQTs and experienced practitioners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
