Primary Teacher – Part-Time Opportunities

Primary schools across Southampton are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to join their teams from September on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers looking for flexible, part-time work while making a positive impact in the classroom. Opportunities are available across a range of supportive and welcoming primary school settings, including regular class teaching and PPA cover.
The Role
As a Part-Time Primary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the primary age range
- Provide high-quality PPA cover across different year groups where required
- Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff, and parents
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress where appropriate
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach
- Confidence teaching across a range of primary year groups
- A passion for teaching and supporting children's development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
