Job Title: Maths Teacher

Location: Taunton and surrounding areas, Somerset
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Contract Type: Flexible – Full-time, Part-time, or Day-to-Day Supply


Maths Teachers Needed – Flexible Roles Across Taunton

Are you a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher looking for a fresh challenge this academic year? Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of secondary schools and academies in the Taunton area, and we’re looking for confident Maths specialists to support them on a flexible basis.

Whether you're seeking regular supply work, part-time hours, or longer-term placements, we can match you with opportunities that suit your schedule and experience.


The Role:

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5)

  • Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs

  • Plan, teach, and assess to ensure pupil progress in line with curriculum expectations

  • Adapt quickly to new environments and maintain a positive classroom culture

  • Build strong relationships with staff and students across multiple school settings


We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or strong relevant experience teaching secondary Maths

  • Confident subject knowledge and ability to make Maths engaging and accessible

  • Flexible, professional, and able to manage different classroom environments

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
